Westchester (12-6) is starting to play good baseball from the Western League, having won eight consecutive games, and it is no coincidence that the Comets have gotten stronger since the arrivalRobert Gsellman, a junior who is batting .649 and is 3-1 on the mound since joining the team after helping the basketball team win a state Division I title.

The Comets also have pitcher Jamaal Moore, who is 5-1 with 69 strikeouts in 40 1/’3 innings, and professional prospect Dominique Starks, an outfielder with good speed and hitting skills.
