Baseball: West Ranch rallies for victory over Hart

Valencia West Ranch had been limited to one hit through six innings, but the Wildcats scored two runs in the seventh to pull out a 5-4 Foothill League win over Newhall Hart.

Doubles by Nico Rusconi and Allen Sarkissian keyed the seventh inning for West Ranch, which is 8-2 overall and 4-1 in league. Sophomore JC Cloney pitched a complete game to improve to 5-0. Hart dropped to 7-5 and 2-3.

Valencia came away with a 13-12 win over Saugus to remain unbeaten in the Foothill League. Alex Bishop, who had three hits, drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Kyle Eaton, Trey Williams and Shane Zeile hit home runs for Valencia (8-2, 5-0).

Arleta (10-3) defeated Las Vegas Eldorado, 15-6. Javy Lopez went four for four.
