Verdugo Hills defeated Fairfax, 6-3. Gabe Guerra had a triple and RBI and picked up the pitching victory.

L.A. Cathedral (11-3) defeated Van Nuys, 9-1. Oscar Leong threw four innings of no-hit ball and went three for three.

Calabasas defeated Woodland Hills El Camino Real, 10-7. Alex Rubanowitz had a big week for Calabasas. He was named all-tournament in the Anaheim Lions tournament after going 8 for 15 with four doubles, a triple and home run.

San Fernando’s David Lira, given eligibility by the City Section, allowed one unearned run in six innings, struck out seven and walked none in a 10-1 victory over Sun Valley Poly. Last month, in his San Fernando debut after transferring from Chatsworth, he shut out Newbury Park. His presence should help the Tigers in the Valley Mission League.
