Brennan Boesch, a former player at North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, had a double and single in his first game on Friday night for the Detroit Tigers. He played on the 2003 Harvard-Westlake team that reached the Southern Section Division III final.

Five players off that team have played professional baseball in the minor leagues, including Jason Glushon, Josh Satin, Gabe Cohen and Frank Pfister.
