Baseball: Arleta's Javy Lopez is 7-0

April 26, 2010 |  7:37 pm

When the analysis begins on which team is going to win the City Section Division I championship in baseball, Arleta needs to be in the discussion, at least when junior Javy Lopez is on the mound. He improved to 7-0 on Monday with his seventh complete game, a 6-1 victory over Sun Valley Poly.

Arleta is 19-4 overall and 8-0 in the East Valley League. Lopez struck out four and walked one. Ivan Ceja had two hits and scored two runs. Arleta can take a big step toward locking up the East Valley title if it beats Verdugo Hills on Friday.
