Washington High's 6-foot-3 junior forward Reshanda Gray was named the City Section player of the year on Wednesday night by a panel of coaches.

Gray led her team to a 22-12 record and a Marine League title. The Generals made it deep into the playoffs, and lost to Carson, 44-42, in a City Section Division I Semifinal on February 25.

Gray averaged 19.3 points and 14.5 rebounds a game this season.
