BAKERSFIELD--With Mater Dei star Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis on the bench in foul trouble, Concord Carondelet closed the third quarter on an 11-0 run to pull within 39-31 against the Monarchs in the Division II championship at Rabobank Arena.

Mater Dei had led by as many as 17 points early in the third quarter, and things weren’t looking good for the Cougars when star forward Erica Payne fouled out with 5:53 left in the quarter. But Mosqueda-Lewis picked up her fourth foul with 5:40 remaining in the quarter and Carondelet went on a run.
