Boys' basketball: Trevor Wiseman vs. Bryce Jones

The Battle of the Valley All-Star Game on April 17 at Cal State Northridge has the makings of an entertaining matchup, especially if Bryce Jones of Woodland Hills Taft and Trevor Wiseman of Santa Clarita Golden Valley play as expected.

The USC-bound Jones was probably the best player in the San Fernando Valley, but Wiseman wasn't far behind, and he's certainly the best unsigned senior player in his area. Jones will play for the West team that also has Alex Tiffin of Thousand Oaks, Jason Johnson of Reseda Cleveland and Pierson Williams of Taft.

Wiseman is going to need some help for the underdog East team, but 6-foot-11 Darrell Haley from Palmdale will be an intriguing player to watch.
