Boys’ basketball: Long Beach Poly 11, Westchester 10

With 2:13 left in the first quarter, Long Beach Poly leads Westchester, 11-10, in their Division I semifinal playoff game.

Dwayne Polee has two dunks for Westchester, but Poly has been finding openings in the Comets’ defense.

The game is being played at Los Angeles Roybal, and Westchester didn’t like it. The Comets wanted to play on their home court, and they may have a good argument. Roybal has a larger gym, but the crowd is not very big considering what is at stake, a spot in next Saturday’s Division I regional final at Galen Center.
