There might not be a better, more versatile guard in Southern California than 6-foot-8 Trevor Wiseman from Santa Clarita Golden Valley.

And that makes Saturday a decisive day for Wiseman, who will be taking the SAT again. If he can raise his score, it could open up his recruiting to some big-name schools.

Coach Chris Printz said Wiseman took an unofficial visit to UNLV last week, but there are lots of other schools interested in him if he increases his SAT and also shows that he has the attitude to succeed in college.

Wiseman is on the verge of finishing up his 16th core class, making him NCAA eligible. But his options could expand considerably.

There never has been any doubt about his basketball skills. He has the size of a center but the dribbling and shooting skills of a guard. Now, it’s up to him to prove he has the right attitude on and off the court.
