He’s a really nice guy. But if Clipper Darrell roots for your team, well, you might as well switch allegiances.

Clipper Darrell (a.k.a.) Darrell Bailey was here at the Honda Center cheering for Ocean View. And, wouldn’t you know it, the top-seeded Seahawks just lost to Foothill, 64-58, in the Division 3AA championship.

The poor guy just can’t seem to pick a winner.

Full disclosure: Ocean View fans can blame me in part.

I ran into Bailey earlier this week outside the Clippers’ practice facility, where the Clippers’ No. 1 fan had come to have players and coaches sign his red-and-white BMW with paint pens (don’t ask). I asked him whether he was coming to Orange County on Saturday, knowing he was friends with the parents of Ocean View junior Billy Keller. But Bailey said he had lost touch with the Kellers in recent months and wasn’t sure if he would make it.

Well, he was here. And he was hard to miss in his split-down-the-middle red and blue suit, lilting from side to side while screaming ‘Let’s go Seahawks, let’s go!’

Sorry, Seahawks fans.
