March 18, 2010 |  3:19 pm

Allen Crabbe, the outstanding senior guard from Los Angeles Price, has been selected the Gatorade state player of the year in boys' basketball.

Crabbe is averaging 23 points for Price (32-3), which won the Southern Section Division 4AA championship and is playing Saturday for the Southern California Division IV regional title.

"He's such a hard worker," Coach Michael Lynch said. "He's truly earned this honor."

Crabbe has a 3.93 grade-point average and has signed with California. He's the first player from Price to receive the Gatorade award.
