Boys’ basketball: Alemany is off to fast start

Riding the momentum of its loud fan base, Mission Hills Alemany has taken a 19-6 lead over league rival Encino Crespi after the first quarter of the Division 4A final at Mater Dei.

It looks like Crespi players are having trouble shooting in the Mater Dei gym. The Celts are launching too many outside shots. At the same time, Alemany is smartly attacking the basket.

Alemany is only 15-16 overall and finished fourth in the Mission League, but the Warriors have been hot throughout the playoffs.
