Junior left-hander Henry Owens of Huntington Beach Edison survived a day of wildness, with seven walks and two hit batters, but he allowed only one hit and struck out 12 to help the Chargers defeat La Mirada, 2-1.

Owens struck out 14 in a season-opening win last week. He’s now 2-0 on the season. Eric Snyder hit a home run for Edison in the fourth. Andres Rodriguez tied it for La Mirada with a home run in the fifth. Mitch Petersen threw six innings for La Mirada.

Camarillo (4-0) advanced to the championship game of the Easton tournament with a 3-1 victory over Valencia West Ranch. Mike Erb pitched the first six innings for the Scorpions and shut down the Wildcats (3-1).
