Standout pitcher Ryon Healy of Encino Crespi received good news Monday when the results of an MRI determined that he has a slight muscle strain to a tendon in his forearm. He said he hopes to be back pitching by the time the playoffs begin.

Healy removed himself from the mound in the Mission League opener two weeks ago after feeling discomfort in his arm.

Healy said he’ll begin his rehabilitation activities immediately. He’ll continue to hit while preparing for his return to the mound.
