Phenom should not be used too often, but it’s the best word to describe freshman girls’ water polo player StephanieContrerasfrom Hacienda Heights Los Altos.
She has tied the Southern Section single-season scoring record with 183 goals in her first season of high school water polo.
She has a chance to break the record on Wednesday in a Division 6 semifinal match against Chadwick at Mira Costa.
