Girls' basketball: Santa Monica's Moriah Faulk has a sprained knee

February 18, 2010 |  1:18 pm

Santa Monica junior Moriah Faulk sprained her knee during the Vikings' last regular-season game against Hawthorne on Feb. 11, and will not play in the team's first-round playoff game Thursday night against Arcadia.

Faulk, a transfer from Arizona, has averaged eight points a game for Santa Monica since she received clearance to play on Dec. 18.

Santa Monica (20-6, 10-0) won the Ocean League championship and is second-seeded in the Division 1A playoff bracket.
