Forget about Colts vs. Saints. It’s Oaks Christian vs. Westlake that’s getting people riled up.
People are sending e-mails about Super Bowl party discussions revolving around this fall’s first matchup between the two schools located about a mile apart in Westlake Village.
They want to know if the Marmonte League game can be moved to a bigger site. People, it’s eight months away, on Oct. 1 at Oaks Christian. And Prime Ticket is almost certain to televise it.
So chill out. There’s plenty of time to get ready for quarterback Trevor Gretzky taking on QB Nick Isham and receiver Jordan Payton facing WR Nelson Spruce, not to mention the coaching duel of Bill Redell vs. Jim Benkert.
Yes, it’s exciting, but let me get through the basketball and baseball seasons first. By June, I’ll be fired up, too.
