Cerritos Gahr (23-4) sends wave after wave against opponents with a full-court press and attacking offense, and so far Oak Park is struggling in their Southern Section Division 3A second-round playoff game, with Gahr leading at halftime, 33-17.

Davon Potts has made three three-pointers and scored 13 points. The good news for Gahr is that it played most of the second quarter without point guard Ervin Ware, who picked up his second foul at the outset and was sent to the sideline.

Oak Park trailed by as many as 22 points in the second quarter and has 12 turnovers.

In 4A, Encino Crespi leads Templeton, 34-19, at halftime.

In a first-round City Section game, Woodland Hills Taft leads Sylmar, 44-4, in the second quarter. Let me predict that a running clock will be taking place in the fourth quarter of that game. Crenshaw leads South Gate, 39-12, at halftime.
