Boys’ basketball: Fairfax knocks off L.A. University

Los Angeles Fairfax strengthened its hold on second place in the Western League on Monday with a 60-49 victory over University. Jordan Weathers scored 19 points, Raymond Barry 16 and Donte McFrazier 15.

In the Coliseum League, Crenshaw surpassed 100 points for the fourth time in league play after a 102-28 victory over Jefferson. Abdul Zaid had 27 points, Darnell Taylor 20 and Reynaul Baker 20 points and 10 assists.

In the East Valley League, 6-foot-7 sophomore Gor Plavchyan scored 25 points and had 20 rebounds to lead Grant past Arleta, 67-49.
