Basketball: Rowland High teams receive sportsmanship award

The Rowland High girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball teams have won the Jim Graham Memorial Sportsmanship Award.

The award was presented by the Foothill-Citrus Basketball Officials Assn. on Monday. Last year, Etiwanda took home the honors.

The girls’ basketball team finished the regular season with a 6-15 record and won one of its seven San Antonio League games. The boys were 12-15, 4-4.

‘It’s an honor for the Rowland basketball program, both boys and girls, to be recognized by our officials association,’ said boys’ basketball Coach Gordon Hamlow.
