Montclair Prep to dedicate gym floor Friday

Van Nuys Montclair Prep will unveil its new inscribed gymnasium floor with the names of championship teams at a dedication ceremony Friday at 6:30 p.m. before the team’s basketball game against Santa Monica Crossroads.

The dedication is in the name of founder Vernon ‘Doc’ Simpson. It was constructed at a cost of $35,000 that bears the Montclair Prep insignia.
