No one from Encino Crespi is talking about the mystery man set to be introduced Saturday as the Celts’ new football coach, but St. Bonaventure Coach Todd Therrien said Friday he believes it’s going to be Jon Mack, who coached at St. Bonaventure for 17 years before leaving for Ventura College.

Therrien knows Mack well. He was his assistant for 15 years.

Earlier this week, Mack denied that he had been offered or accepted the position, so Saturday should be interesting.

If it is Mack, the first question should be, ‘Do you take back all those nasty things you said about Crespi when you were coaching at rival Sherman Oaks Notre Dame?’
