Boys' basketball: Westchester routs Fairfax
Kareem Jamar scored 13 points and Jordin Mayes had 12 to lead top-ranked Westchester to a 72-39 victory over No. 12 Fairfax that marked one of the most one-sided triumphs in recent series history.
Ten players scored for the Comets (13-2 overall, 2-0 Western League), who pulled their starters at the start of the fourth quarter.
Jordan Weathers scored 17 points and Raymond Barry had 12 for the Lions (9-6, 1-1), who trailed by 16 points at halftime.
