Is this the year that small-school Price truly hits the big time and makes a claim as the best team in the Southland?

The Knights (15-1), ranked No. 7 in the Southland by The Times, took another small step in that direction Wednesday night with a 71-61 victory over Inglewood in which Allen Crabbe scored 27 points and Richard Solomon had 15.

More telling will be a matchup with No. 15 Gahr (14-1) at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Long Beach Cabrillo in the Pangos Dream Classic.
