Boys' basketball: L.A. University wins thriller

David Nwaba made two free throws with seven seconds remaining to lift L.A. University to a 73-72 victory over View Park tonight in the championship game of the L.A. Hamilton tournament.

View Park had just taken its only lead of the game after making its 11th three-point basket before Nwaba stepped to the free throw line. Nwaba finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks for University (10-7), which also received a boost from Anthony Harris' 23 points and nine rebounds.

Sheldon Wright scored 24 points and had five-three pointers and Brendyn Taylor had 20 points and six three-pointers for Vew Park (8-7). Branden Brooks and Iman Rahbar each made five three-pointers for University.
