Boys’ basketball: Gardena Serra (18-1) keeps winning

Like its championship football team, Gardena Serra’s basketball team isn’t afraid of taking on the best and keeps delivering victories.

The Cavaliers (18-1) knocked off Los Angeles Price, 78-75, on Saturday night in the Johnnie L. Cochran Classic, with Keith Shamburger scoring 23 points.

Looking ahead, Serra has a Jan. 30 game against Woodland Hills Taft at Fairfax in the State Preview Classic. That 8 p.m. game is shaping up as one of the best of the season.
