Girls’ Basketball: Long Beach Poly wins Inglewood tournament

Long Beach Poly recently lost to Inglewood in a scrimmage.

The Jackrabbits got their revenge tonight.

They defeated Inglewood, 65-44, in the championship game of the Inglewood tournament tonight at Inglewood High.

Ariya Crook-Williams and Brittany Wilson each scored 11 points for the Jackrabbits. Their teammate Ashley Wilson was awarded tournament MVP. DeAnjanae Scurry led the Sentinels with 12 points, and Hazel Ramirez contributed 10.

This is the second consecutive year that Long Beach Poly has beaten Inglewood for the championship.

In an earlier game, Bishop Montgomery defeated Taft, 60-44, to win third place.
