Football: Some good news for Trojan fans

Whatever USC does in its bowl game, it’s not going to change the decision of Dillon Baxter, who’s headed to USC and probably had one of the greatest individual seasons in California prep history at San Diego Mission Bay.

All the quarterback-running back did was score 50 touchdowns and rush for 2,974 yards while also passing for 25 touchdowns and 1,922 yards. He led his team to an unbeaten season and a San Diego DIvision IV title.

In the championship game, he rushed for 384 yards and scored seven touchdowns.
