Football: Neuheisel gives pep talk to championship teams

UCLA Coach Rick Neuheisel was the guest speaker Monday at the Southern Section luncheon honoring the teams set to play this weekend in championship games.

He used his talk to remind everyone that the moment will be etched in their memory for years to come and they should enjoy it, cherish it and relish the opportunity.

Last season, USC Coach Pete Carroll gave a similar talk. Neuheisel was well received, as was his message. Here’s some excerpts from his speech.
