Football: Lakewood shows signs of life

An 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Terrance Woods has given renewed life for Lakewood. And after Jesse Scroggins ran in the two-point conversion, the Lancers have closed to within 23-15 of Edison with 2:37 left in the third quarter.
Scroggins seemed to be stopped three times on the conversion run but he refused to be denied. The Lakewood crowd has come alive.
