One of the sad realities of the state championship bowl games is that the CIF does not provide complimentary tickets for participants’ families.

Crenshaw assistant principal Luther Waters said he is concerned that some of the Cougars’ family members will not be able to afford to see their loved ones play in the team’s first bowl game.

Anyone who is willing to donate money for family tickets, please contact Waters at 323-290-7809 or at luther.n.waters@lausd.net. Crenshaw (14-0) plays Concord De La Salle (12-2) at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Home Depot Center in Carson in the Open Division bowl game, and it would be a travesty if a player’s mother, father or brother couldn’t be there because they didn’t have $15 to see the game.
