There should be two outstanding semifinal football games in City Section Division II on Friday night, when Fairfax plays at Hamilton in a Western League rematch and El Camino Real takes on Arleta at Monroe.

El Camino Real’s double wing will present problems for Arleta, which gave up lots of points to Sun Valley Poly and its double wing earlier this season. But the big question is whether El Camino Real’s defense will be strong enough to slow down Arleta’s versatile offense.

Hamilton has been coming on strong in the playoffs and should be considered the favorite against a Lions team that upset top-seeded Roosevelt last week.

The winners advance to next Friday’s championship game at East L.A. College.
