What a weekend for the athletic program of Gardena Serra. First the football team wins the Northwest Division championship, beating Oaks Christian. And the boys’ basketball team captured the Ocean View tournament title by knocking off previously unbeaten Ocean View, 72-65. Serra improved to 7-1.
Compton Centennial took third place with a 66-61 victory over Long Beach Jordan.
