The MaxPreps Holidiay Classic at Torrey Pines High has not started well for the Southern California powers. Los Angeles Fairfax lost to Newark Memorial, 50-34, and Lawndale Leuzinger was beaten by Oakland Bishop O’Dowd, 63-62.
