While Westchester and Woodland Hills Taft are favored to reach the City Section championship game, Los Angeles Fairfax (7-1) is making steady progress and could still be a factor.

The Lions will be playing in tonight’s championship game of the Las Vegas Durango tournament against Georgetown Prep. Fairfax defeated Durango, 53-50, Tuesday night, with Raymond Barry, Donte McFrazier and Jordan Weathers each scoring 15 points.

‘We’re taking it in the right director,’ Fairfax Coach Harvey Kitani said.
