Football: Newport Harbor’s Whiteside receives jersey

Newport Harbor senior linebacker-receiver Cecil Whiteside received his jersey for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl today in a ceremony at the school.

Whiteside is one of the top players for the Sailors (4-4 overall, 1-2 Sunset League), who play host to Marina on Friday.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl will be played Jan. 9 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
