Narbonne essentially won its City Section first-round playoff game against L.A. Jordan when Melvin Davis intercepted a pass midway through the second quarter and returned it deep into Bulldogs’ territory.

Jordan was never able to recover from that play during a 33-0 defeat at home.

Davis rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns and the Gauchos finished the game with three interceptions, including two by cornerback Bryan Douglas.

Narbonne quarterback Chad Dashnaw completed 11 of 13 passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown.

USC Coach Pete Carroll and Washington counterpart Steve Sarkisian were treated to some elusive moves by Jordan quarterback-running back De’ Shawn Beck, who had 128 yards rushing and 109 yards passing but had trouble on forays in Narbonne territory.
