Football: Lee Vining withdraws from playoffs
So much for another epic road trip for Lee Vining.
The Tigers withdrew from the Southern Section Division II eight-man football playoffs because they did not have enough players, section officials announced. Lee Vining was scheduled to travel 381 miles (one way) to play Bermuda Dunes Desert Christian.
Because section officials could not fill Lee Vining's spot in the bracket, Desert Christian will automatically advance to the second round.
