Football: Carson's victory is big in City scheme

Carson's 38-21 victory over San Pedro Friday night gave the Colts (8-2) the Marine League championship and a likely No. 2 seed for the City Section Division I playoffs.

But the other big score in the league was Banning upsetting Narbonne, 42-35. That means San Pedro (7-3, 3-2), Banning (4-6, 3-2) and Narbonne (5-5, 3-2) tie for second. Somebody isn't going to be happy having to play Narbonne in the first round.
