Boys’ volleyball: Loyola-Mira Costa match is looming

Is it too early to get excited about the boys’ volleyball match this spring between Los Angeles Loyola and Manhattan Beach Mira Costa?

The match will be March 19 or 20 at Loyola Marymount and probably attract an overflow crowd. Loyola returns four starters from a national championship team. Just look at the talent at both schools.

Steve Irvin from Loyola and Eric Mochalski from Mira Costa signed with Stanford. Loyola’s Vaun Lennon signed with UC San Diego. And Loyola’s Robert Feathers is considered the No. 1 junior in California.
