Oaks Christian Coach Bill Redell was wrapping up his postgame address to his team after its 33-13 victory over Venice tonight when he turned to actor Will Smith and joked, ‘I’m waiting for my movie part.’

Without missing a beat, Smith responded that he would have Tommy Lee Jones play the veteran coach, prompting laughter from the gathering.

Turns out there was another Jones with plenty of star power tonight: Malcolm Jones. The senior tailback rushed for a school-record 329 yards and four touchdowns.

It was also a big night for two of the celebrity kids on Redell’s team. Quarterback Nick Montana, son of Joe, completed 15 of 27 passes for 120 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Receiver Trey Smith, son of Will, had four catches for 32 yards--twice as many catches as he had in the Lions’ first three games combined.

Venice security personnel were starry-eyed at catching a glimpse of Will Smith, with one joking that she needed to go arrest him after the game.
