Lakewood is currently 5-1, not 4-1.

Difficult not to have Crenshaw #1. They beat Lakewood and Norco, and dominated Culver City who beat a decent Redondo team last weekend and are now 4-1. The Cougars have size and speed at every position. My only concern in a long season, is their lack of quality depth as they have 5 or 6 players who play on both sides. Oaks Christian's league schedule is a joke, but they beat Venice handily who I've seen play and is good team. Same with them regarding 1st rate back-ups when they play the big games down the line.

Ive got two top 25's lists: this one is mostly based on the LAT HS top 25 with some strength of schedule built in:

Edison, Lakewood, Crenshaw, Servite, Moorpark, OC, Serra, Rancho Cuc, Amat, Bonnies, Crespi, Los Al, ND, MD, Mission Viejo, Redland East, Corona Cent, Chaparral, Norco Valencia, Carson, Fountain Valley, Vista Murietta, Westlake, and Charter Oak

The second list relies less on the Times Top 25 and more on strength of schedule:

Edison, Crenshaw, Lakewood, Servite, Moorpark, Amat, Bonnies, Crespi, OC, ND, MD, Rancho Cuc, Chaparral, Serra, Norco, Los Al, Mission Viejo, Corona Cent, Redland East, Carson, Valencia, Fountain Valley, Vista Murietta, Westlake, and Charter Oak.
