Football: Kudos for unbeaten Bishop Amat
When discussing the top teams in Southern California, Los Angeles Crenshaw, Westlake Village Oaks Christian, Huntington Beach Edison and Anaheim Servite usually get mentioned first, but Mission Hills Alemany Coach Dean Herrington has played Oaks Christian and unbeaten La Puente Bishop Amat, and he says Bishop Amat is better.
"I think they are a more well-rounded football team," Herrington said of the Lancers.
Alemany lost to Oaks Christian, 28-17, in its season opener. It lost to Bishop Amat, 36-14, last week.
The challenge for Bishop Amat is a tough Serra League schedule that requires the Lancers to play three consecutive playoff-like games against Los Angeles Loyola, Encino Crespi and Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.

Will Anthony Barr play tonight against Bishop Amat?

Amat should easily beat a down Loyola team, and Crespi is decent but nothing special. ND should be a good game. Lancers should easily make playoffs barring an epic meltdown. If they are half as good as people are saying they should easily make playoffs.
