Grief counselors are expected today at Hollywood High School, which is mourning the death of 13-year-old freshman football player Spencer Juarez, who collapsed on Friday during a freshman-sophomore game against West Adams and died on Saturday.

An autopsy is pending, Los Angeles County coroner’s officials said.

Juarez was a straight-A student and had run in the Los Angeles Marathon, according to Coach Ceasar Sandoval.
