Football: USC is getting another QB from Orange Lutheran

September 19, 2009 |  7:50 am

If USC Coach Pete Carroll ever needs quarterback help next season, he should know there will be a competent player attending his school.

Bobby Wheatley, who is set to accept a baseball scholarship as a pitcher for the Trojans, is also Orange Lutheran's quarterback. He completed 22 of 26 passes Friday for 257 yards and two touchdowns in the Lancers' 46-20 victory over Tustin.

Tustin didn't have Stanford-bound running back Anthony Wilkerson because of a strained hamstring.
