Football: Nelson Spruce is making an impact

After catching two more touchdown passes Friday night, junior receiver Nelson Spruce from Westlake Village Westlake has seven on the season. To say that he has been impressive is an understatement.

‘Man, he is awesome,’ Hart Coach Mike Herrington said. ‘He’s big and fast. Shoot, we had nobody to match up with him.’

One of Spruce’s touchdowns against Hart Friday was a one-handed catch.

‘He just reached out and tipped it back to himself,’ Herrington said.
