Baseball: Los Angeles tries to defend title in Senior World Series

Venice catcher Daniel Hordo and Santa Monica pitcher Alonzo Gonzalez are among the stars competing for the defending champion Los Angeles team in the Senior World Series in Jupiter, Fla., as part of the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program.

The series runs through Aug. 14 at the spring training home of the Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals.
