July 13, 2009 |  9:22 am

When it comes to girls' basketball, there's no better tournament this summer than the San Diego Classic, which starts Thursday and runs through Sunday featuring 312 teams from nine different states.

Among the Southern California teams entered are powerhouses Brea Olinda and Santa Ana Mater Dei.

It is just too bad the NCAA doesn't care about High School basketball anymore. NCAA Div. 1 coaches (dont know about the other levels) can't be there because It isn't it the "viewing window." Such a shame. Coaches can't see how these talented players play with teammates of all abilities, not just on club teams with the best players.
