Boys' basketball: Polee meets with new USC coach, still committed

July 6, 2009 |  7:27 am

Westchester forward Dwayne Polee Jr. and his mother met with new USC Coach Kevin O'Neill last week and remains committed to the Trojans, according to his father,  Dwayne Sr.

"My wife said it went good. Dwayne liked him too," Dwayne Sr. said.

Polee has been committed to USC since he was a freshman at Westchester. Dwayne Sr. works for the Trojans as director of basketball operations.

Dwayne Sr. said his son wants to spend more time watching O'Neill in action "but is committed" to the Trojans.

Polee is part of a Westchester basketball team that should be ranked No. 1 in the state for next season. The Comets haven't lost all summer and won the Carson tournament last week as their latest conquest.
